A LIFESTYLE BLOG

About Me

Hi! I'm Danielle, but I also go by Mrs. Christopher Pipher, Bella's Mommy + Preggo.

I have my masters degree in Business HR from Rutgers University. I am married to a car guy, army vet.
We moved from New Jersey, where we both grew up, to North Carolina, where we wanted to raise our family.

We have a little girl, Miss. Bella James, and another little girl - name to be announced on her birthday - due the end of January!
We're about to have TWO under Two!!! Say Prayers Yall.

I started this blog when Chris + I got engaged (FOUR!) years ago bc I was the first of my friends to "get the ring" + plan a wedding!
I wanted to meet other brides-to-be who were planning their weddings. I was a big DIY bride.
We got married October 13, 2017 after a two year engagement.

I was a bartender at TGI Fridays throughout my twenties - before my current gig as a stay at home mama. I used to share tons of cocktails + tips, but my life has switched gears towards the baby realm haha.
Morning sickness is my current jam + LORD is it brutal
I had it bad when I was pregnant with sweet Bella too but damn - running after an almost 18mo old while 5 months preggo is TOUGH.

I'm a pro breastfeeding, emergency C-section mama
who had a really hard recovery post partum.
I'm still in therapy actually - proud to be working on my emotions, mind + healing myself.
Bella's birth story is - a long, difficult one - I'll share it at some point.
But all you really need to know is that, since these babies are so close in age,
I'll be having a SCHEDULED C-section this time.
Praying that recovery goes a hell of a lot better.

My journey becoming a mom + being pregnant for what feels like the last 2 years of my life (hah), I've had to really adapt my lifestyle in ways that are more baby/preggo safe.
It got me thinking though, why are only babies + pregnant women encouraged to live "nontoxic" lifestyles? Shouldn't everyone try to use/eat/live with nontoxic stuff? They make 5 different versions of ketchup these days - regular, decent, good, organic … there's aluminum in our deodorants + companies add fillers and chemicals to products without our knowledge... it's a mess this damn world we live in.

Then I discovered Essential Oils - Young Living, specifically.
I was blown away that people use these oils in leu of actual medicine, for cleaning, for emotional support, the list goes on.
The phrase, "THERE'S AN OIL FOR THAT" became a common one I started saying to my husband - my biggest skeptic.
He calls me a witch dr now bc I have a nontoxic remedy for everything.
What's even crazier? The oils have worked so amazingly well first hand, my husband is a true believer in my witchcraft now, as he calls it.

I want to help you slowly switch over products in your life too! BUT if that's not your thing, I swear I'm not pushy about it. You can still clean with Lysol Wipes + I'll be your friend, I promise lol

Random Things:
I'm a leo. I just turned 30 this year!
I'm a natural redhead - virgin hair. I have the Casper freckly skin to go with it. I walk from my front door to my mailbox + get a sunburn. True Story. I'm also a huge holiday decorator - like, all the holidays haha
I'm obsessed with FRIENDS - I'm pretty much the real life Monica Geller. I'm a cleaner + an organizer.
I struggle with anxiety - hence all the cleaning.
(Oils have helped me so much managing my anxiety)

I love putting too much salt on everything + hiding my amazon packages from my husband.
I'm composed of french fries, bread + swear words.
I'm not the mom that plays "The Wheels on the Bus" in the car.
I love to sing more than most things in this life.
I love Jesus + I love my Friends + Family. The End.

Thanks for following along with me! Are we friends on Instagram or Pinterest yet?

XOXO
Danielle
